Czech Airlines is a partner to major international cultural projects. We support modern graphic art, classical music, and film festivals, including the festival that presents documentary films about human rights.
The Febiofest international film, television, and video festival, now in its thirteenth year, is one of the biggest collections of audio-visual presentations in Central Europe. It started out needing only two cinema halls but gradually grew, to fill fourteen cinema halls this year.
The major component will offer a minimum of four hundred feature, short, documentary, experimental, and animated films.
An innovation this year will see the expansion of the New International Releases section, which audiences can use as a map to find their way through contemporary world cinema. The festival would also like to follow on from last year’s successful collection of debut films by European directors.
Czech Airlines is pleased to be the Official Carrier of Febiofest 2006 and carry such film stars as the Italian actress Claudia Cardinale and the Polish director Juliusz Machulski.

The Karlovy Vary International Film Festival, one of the largest in Central and Eastern Europe, celebrated its 41st year in 2006 and, as in the past, Czech Airlines was its Official Carrier and transported many celebrities from the world of film.
A wide selection of more than 220 feature films and dozens of short films definitely satisfied even the hardest-to-please of film goers.

The 46th International Film Festival for Children and Youth will take place in Zlín.
This almost week-long film festival stays faithful to the tradition of previous years, building on high quality programmes for film professionals as well as for the general public. Festival visitors will be able to enjoy the best of contemporary film for a young audience, attend meetings with both Czech and foreign-based filmmakers, and choose from a substantial supporting programme. Admission to all screenings and supporting programmes is free of charge.
Of particular note is this year’s festival trailer, featuring spontaneous children escaping from a photographer’s studio on a film trolley.
Czech Airlines is honoured to accept the role of Official Carrier and participate in the enrichment of the world of children’s culture. Czech Airlines will carry film stars such as Hoffmann, Meier, Decruy, Gray, Urgut and many others.

The International Prague Spring Music Festival, now in its 61st year, will begin on 11 May with a historic recreation of the first Prague Spring concert of 1946, and end with Antonín Dvořák’s Symphony No. 5 in F Major, on 3 June.
The International Prague Spring Music Festival is a long-established series of performances by prominent global performers, symphony orchestras, and chamber orchestras.
This year’s special project entitled DEFIANT REQUIEM will commemorate one of the most moving chapters in history, the Holocaust, by Verdi’s Requiem, which will be performed in the former Municipal Riding School in Terezín.
