Luboš Černý became Vice-president for Economics of Czech Airlines on 1 September 2006.
Graduated in Mathematical Engineering from the Czech Technical University, Prague. In 1993, he joined the Czech National Bank, where he was responsible for the management of foreign reserve assets. From here, he left for Komerční banka, a.s. where he remained, in various positions, for almost five years. While he was there, he contributed to the implementation of the strategy, methodology and policy of strategic risk management. Between 1999 and 2001, he managed restructuring projects at Konsolidační banka, s.p.ú. This was followed by a stint of bank auditing and control at Československá obchodní banka, a. s. In 2002, he was appointed Executive
Director for finance and a member of the Board of Directors of eBanka, a.s. In 2004–2006, he was the bank’s Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the Board of Directors, and managed the process of selling the bank to a new investor. Since 1 September 2006, he has been the Czech Airlines Vice-President for Economics. Since July 2007, he has been the Vice-chairman of the Supervisory Board of ClickforSky, a.s.
